A Chinese Ch'ing-pai Lidded Ewer

Yuan Dynasty, the pear-shaped ewer with rounded handle and curving spout is molded in two horizontal sections and joined at the prominent ridge circling the sides. It is decorated in relief with a flying phoenix on each side, above a border of ruyi panels, small loops are attached to the lid and body, all glazed in a transparent blue.
