Early 19th century, black transfer on (3) sides with the primary scene titled "Washington in Glory / America in Tears," showing an eagle and an allegorical figure of America beneath a monument to the recently deceased former president. The pitcher's other side is graced with an American frigate under full sail flying a 16-star flag. Beneath the spout is an American eagle over "Herculaneum Pottery."
