Germany, circa 1900, artist's signature is on the lower left rim; the underside carries a Villeroy & Boch Mettlach stamp and number 2697denoting the polychrome and gilt Art Nouveau scene on the face, which depicts a dining gnome being watched by a fairy; pierced for hanging.
