Ottoman Turkish Wedding Dress and Groom's Jacket

Late 19th century, both garments of deep purple velvet heavily embroidered with gold thread. A few matching sequins conservatively accent the primary decorative elements.

Dress: 50 in. long; Jacket 36 in. long

Small areas of rubbing to the velvet; the dress is missing one of two mother-of-pearl buttons and its collar is loose on one side; minor soiling to the linings; overall sound with good original color to the velvet.
