Rare Mid-19th Century Declaration of Independence Broadside

Reading "Stereotyped and Printed by the Boston Bewick Company" in the lower margin, the document's text and facsimiles of its original signatures are centered within a scrolled ivy and oak border incorporating the seals of the thirteen original states. Presented in a period gilt and gesso frame.

A more familiar version of this broadside is colored and also notes that it was published by Prentiss Whitney in 1835.

Horizontal and vertical fold creases; a small area of loss in the upper right field; several minute splits; a few trivial stains. Not examined out of the frame.
