Presented in a textured wooden frame. Ruth Faison Shaw, a native of Kenansville, NC, is best remembered for promoting the therapeutic value of finger painting. She founded the Shaw School in Rome, having subsequent teaching posts in Topeka, Kansas and at UNC-Chapel Hill.
