Chatham County, 19th century, yellow pine and poplar, two small upper drawers divided by an open shelf surmounted by a scalloped shelf and shaped backsplash, the case having four graduated lipped drawers, chip carving to sides and case front corners, raised on deeply scalloped feet. The chest is painted a russet color with all over white sponge decoration.
