Mid-Atlantic Tiger Maple Butler's Desk

Circa 1830-40, figured tiger maple veneer and maple over white pine, having a fall front which opens to reveal a central prospect with two vertical columns of short drawers on each side, three graduated cock beaded drawers flanked by stiles enhanced with applied reeded half columns, raised on tall reeded feet.

Highly figured maple enhanced by well executed carved elements.
