Clark, Walter, ed., "North Carolina Regiments, 1865 - '65," (Raleigh: The state of North Carolina, 1901), approximately 4,000 pp. in (5) volumes, 4to (9.5 x 6 in.), gray boards emblazoned with crossed NC and Confederate flags. Owner's name inscribed as "H. A. London."
The set's original owner, Henry Armand London, was an 18 year-old UNC student when he enlisted in Co. "I", 32nd NC Infantry on January 1, 1865. Serving as a courier, London was present at Appomattox. He pursued a post-war legal career in Pittsboro, dying in 1918.
Still an important resource after more than a century.
A well-used set with bumped corners, shelf wear. Binding somewhat loose. Good condition.
