Dainty octagonal form of burled elm veneer, the lower edge bordered by barber pole inlay, raised on brass claw feet with clutch marble-like glass balls which serve as casters, later attractive silk floral upholstery.

From the Collection of Binford Chew Carr, Durham, North Carolina. Originally purchased at Fortnum & Mason in London in the 1940s.
