American Classical Sofa, circa 1830

Probably Philadelphia, mahogany and mahogany veneers, rolled crest terminating in scrolls with rosettes, scrolled arms with acanthus carving, the convex seat rail flanked by veneer panels, supported on foliage carved and dolphin headed front feet, with green, pink, gold, and cream upholstery.
