Cut and paste silhouettes with each having a finely cut out embellishment; the first a bust profile of an elderly gentleman with coat and tie; the second and third are of bust profiles each of a young girl with slight curls and decorative dress collar holding her doll; the fourth being a full length profile of a toddler holding up his ice cream cone. Each silhouette is signed in ink "Carew Rice / 1933." Unframed and mounted on original ivory card stock. These delightful profiles are wonderful examples as to why poet Carl Sandburg proclaimed Carew Rice "America's greatest silhouettist."
Minor soiling to one; age appropriate coloration to card stock. Overall very good condition.
