Meiji Period, late 19th - early 20th century, earthenware painted in enamels and gilt, a pair of cabinet vases with applied elephant head handles (4.75 in.); a mirrored pair of cabinet vases with applied dragon above the shoulder (5 in.); a sauce bowl (1.5 in.); and a vase with applied dragon (7.25 in.); all signed on the base in cartouche mark, some with Shimazu mon.
No apparent condition concerns.
