A three-page octavo letter with integral address panel to the General commanding the French Army of Italy in Milan, dated 18 Praireal Ano 4 by the Republican calendar (June 6, 1796), endorsed "Bonaparte" along the lower margin of the first page.

Loss on the second sheet from seal breakage; old archival tape reinforcement to the top sheet does not affect the signature.
