This work comes directly from James Tucker's Greensboro, NC studio/residence. Exhibited: Seventh Annual Springs Art Show, 1965

One of James' early works, this depicts his response to modernism with a Rothko mannerism in block color formations, also suggestive of a horizon which he would later repeat in his Ocracoke, NC beach scenes.
