Altered to .58 caliber, 33 in. barrel secured by two bands, dated 1850 on the tang with US / JH / P at the breech and inspector's mark "C" on the left side, lockplate marked ROBBINS / & / LAWRENCE / U.S. and WINDSOR VT / 1850, walnut stock stamped with two indistinct inspectors' cartouches, brass mounts with original brass-tipped ramrod present.
