.50 caliber, serial #13952 on lower trigger plate, 20 in. blued barrel, left side of frame marked EDWARD MAYNARD / PATENTEE / MAY 27. 1851. / DEC 6. 1859., the right side of the frame with MANUFACTURED BY / MASS. ARMS CO. / CHICOPEE FALLS., walnut stock stamped with GWS and JM inspectors' cartouches.
