Chinese Carved & Gilded Sign

Rectangular form with three Chinese characters raised and in black against a carved cloud and dragon ground with two-tone gold paint, the border with red cinnabar style ground and carved prunus branches in gold, two original battens to the verso with later iron braces added to correct the check.

20 x 40.25 in.

Horizontal check; very minor scattered chipping.
