Two Pieces of Santa Clara Blackware

The first a jar by Clara Martinez, 20th century, signed "Clara / Sta Clara / Pue." on underside, decorated with deeply incised rendering of Awanyu, guardian spirit of water (3 in.); the second item a spouted vessel signed "Margaret Garcia / Santa Clara Pu / N. Mex.," staggered feather motifs along the shoulder (3.75 in.).
