Mid-18th century, maple and pine, attributed to the Dominy Craftsmen of East Hampton, New York with distinctive shaped crest rail and splat, rush seat (replaced) double side stretchers, turned baluster front legs terminating in duck feet.

A letter of attribution, dated 1977, from The Society for the Preservation of Long Island Antiquities accompanies this lot. The Collection of Arthur & Gretchen St. John

Break and repair to toe with original piece used; splat slightly loose; expected wear to feet. Chip to the front left foot. There is overall joint looseness.
