St. Petersburg, early 20th century, with printed bear mark and printed inscription "Made in Russia by Kornilow Bros.," numbered 97 in red ink to underside, gilt edge.

The rims are painted in enamels after illustrations by Ivan Bilibin (1878-1942) for the Russian fairy tale Tsarevitch Ivan, the Firebird and the Gray Wolf, published in 1899.
