Probably Virginia or Maryland, circa 1790, mahogany, mahogany veneer, yellow pine secondary, three part form (hood, waist, base), hood features a swan neck pediment, the frieze bears a three part bookend inlay above two inlaid compass stars, the painted metal face with eight day brass driven movement with seconds dial and date aperture, painted dial stamped on back plate "Osbornes Manufactories, Birmingham, England;" the waist with single hinged door featuring a flame burlwood veneer and upper corners with inlaid quarter fans, chamfered corners with intwined line inlay, base with quarter fan inlay and repeating intwined string inlay to stiles, raised on ogee bracket foot base; pendulum, two weights, two clock winding keys, one skeleton key.

Central finial missing acorn; wood loss to plinth at right finial; all three finials likely replacements; hinged door with old glass but has horizontal line at top of tombstone; missing left side window glass; minor shrinkage hairlines to veneer; two vertical shrinkage cracks to lower case; ogee feet are old and appear to be original; with minor breaks and repairs.
