Large Rose Canton Medallion Punch Bowl

Mid-late 19th century, extremely fine polychrome decoration with a large central circular medallion with four rectangular medallions containing court figures bordered in gilt key fretwork, in between the medallions are auspicious Chinese symbols, above a thick border containing bats, birds, butterflies, and coins amid a gilded background filled with numerous flowers, the outside decoration is similar to the interior and just as finely detailed.
