Mali, Bamana Janus-Headed Marionette Display

Carved wood, all heads but two are double-faced, some with red tassel nose rings, the work is composed of a central head over a stylized double body on four legs, surmounted by eight removable face pieces, all of similar carving. Mounted on a metal plate stand.
