A first generation member of the Bay Area Figuration, Weeks' work may be found in the collections of such prominent institutions as the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; and the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Washington, D.C.

Vernon Pratt met Weeks while in San Francisco. A great friendship developed between the two artists and Pratt counted Weeks among his greatest influencers.
