Painted from a study made at Odaipur (sic) in the autumn of 1937. The hills of Odaipur form a natural citadel. Seen from the distance the white towers and bastions of the palace and the town below shimmer in the sun like an enchanted mirage mirrored in a lake of fantasy. Eliot Clark N.A.Light surface grime and yellowing.
