The Collection of the late Richard L. Frautschi, Ruckersville, VA These commemorative walking sticks are attributed to Thomas Jefferson Craddock. Craddock enlisted in the 5th Virginia Cavalry, C.S.A. at 16 years of age on April 1,1863. He survived the war and his wounds to become a Virginia pensioner and folk artist.
