Map of Texas Containing the Latest Grants & Discoveries, with outline color, opening to 13.25 x 9 in. and facing the title page, two pages of advertising at the end, small octavo, dark green cloth, pastedown label on spine. Owner-inscribed on front free endpaper by Tim W. Hoxie, Boston. A Timothy Wright Hoxie (1818-1882) indeed lived and died in Boston. It is unknown if he ever visited or invested in Texas.

Detached boards and spine, the latter split horizontally below the label; large diagonal split in lower right section of the map; various degrees of scattered foxing throughout; the binding remains tight. An important book worthy of restoration.
