A Chinese Lacquered and Painted Throne Chair

19th century, with red lacquer and gilt decoration across the seat of birds flying among peony blossoms growing up from a rocky landscape, the rest of the chair is covered with tasteful decoration in gilding and lacquer, scrolling flowers, small blossoms, geometric motifs, and key borders.

Some cracks and loss to arms of the chair; some loss and wear to lacquer and gilding consistent with age.
