19th Century Napoleonic Medallion

Bronze, 26mm, the obverse signed "ROGAT," struck to commemorate the 1840 translation of Napoleon's ashes from St. Helena to his tomb in the Invalides, Paris. Presented in a period black velvet frame with a suspension loop.

Some glue residue on reverse from mounting; overall very fine condition.
