20th century, machine embroidered gold brocade outer lining over a blue ombre ground, auspicious symbols of phoenixes, cranes, and pine trees amidst beautiful flora are embroidered in fanciful colors, inner lining is red, an uchikake is a highly formal kimono worn by a bride as a sort of coat over an actual kimono and obi, the uchikake will therefore trail along the floor, which is why it is heavily padded along the hem.

Very good condition; a few areas with loose threads of embroidery at bottom.
