AMERICA, the cylinder stamped COLTS PATENT No1235, patent date below and engraved to show an engagement between the Texas and Mexican navies, COLTS PATENT is also stamped on the frame's left side; inspector's initials are stamped on the walnut grips; brass trigger guard gives way to an iron strap.
