Watercolor on paper, signed and inscribed Marseilles, (illegible) 1864, inscribed on the mat Augustin, 1864, presented under glass in an antique gilt composition frame.

SS 16.5 x 21.75 in.; DOA 27 x 32.5 in.

Built in 1864 and owned by Augustin Rabatau of Marseille, the Augustin foundered off the coast and was lost on October 7th, 1874.

Toning and some damp stains to mat board; not examined out of the frame.
