Massive Continental Percussion Wall Gun

Mid-19th century, 52 in. barrel with nearly 1 in. rifled bore, front and rear sights, crown /V V /star proof at breech, illegible inspectors' marks on various elements, walnut stock, iron furniture throughout, lockplate marked "M / de C," fitted with a swivel pin. Included is a period 17.5 in. high wooden block on which to mount the gun.
