Royal Vienna Covered Urn Depicting The Judgement of Paris

Early 19th century, signed "C. Her" (Claudia Herr), two part form, the trophy shaped urn is set upon a plinth, the frontal scene depicts Paris handing the golden apple to Aphrodite as Hera and Athena look on, the verso is painted with a winged putto blowing a horn. The urn is decorated in cobalt and burgundy with gilt stylized leaves and raised enamel dots. Royal Vienna back stamp in underglaze blue.

DOA 14.75 x 7.5 in.

Minor indentations at the urn rim; gilt loss to handle high points and other small gilt loss; otherwise fine.
