Being wartime factory products, the blades with serial numbers 136950 and 22831, the scabbards with serial numbers 131525 and 57029; the fuchi with three arsenal markings; all-metal construction to include cast aluminum grips painted to simulate traditional fabric, ray skin and brass mounts; the iron scabbards with one suspension ring and olive drab paint.

Blades 27.5 in.; LOA in scabbard 38 in.

The blades generally bright with some stains; brass elements with deep patina; typical overall paint loss to the grips; light oxidation and paint loss to the scabbards.
