Attributed to Evan Javan or Davis Brown Sr., Arden NC., dark brown Albany slip glaze, applied features, inset eyes with pierced pupils, open mouth with sharp china plate teeth, stamped on the bottom and picked out in glaze "BROWNS POTTERY" and inscribed "47".
