Serial number 48937, lever action, the 27 in. octagonal barrel with approximately 6mm bore for .22 caliber; fitted with a folding bead sight at the muzzle and a folding aperture sight on the tang, walnut stock, later modern mounts for a scope have been added. Made before December 31, 1898.

Working action; nicely patinated smooth metal surfaces with no corrosion evident; light wear to stock from normal use; clean bore with good rifling.
