A mid-20th century posthumous bronze casting, inscribed signature in the casting, mounted to a stepped granite plinth.
DOA 12 x 11 x 7 in.
From the Estate of the Late Albert Sack Renoir began working in bronze towards the end of his life, due to failing eyesight. This sculpture was one of a series of works completed circa 1916 featuring strong, fleshy women toiling away at a mundane task, yet with a certain detached demeanor.
Some minor chipping to granite plinth.
