NC Pottery, Enoch Craven (1810-1893 Randolph County)

Salt glazed stoneware jug, ovoid form, double handles with grooves, incised multiple band coggle wheel decoration in the high shoulder between the handles, stamped "E.S. CRAVEN" on both sides above the coggle wheel decoration, several kiln drips on the body.

15 x 8.5 in.

One handle with a one inch chip; two insignificant rim nicks. Examined under black light.
