Late 19th century, a crank-wound geared mechanism revolves models of the earth and the moon, its post support fitted with candle cup and reflector, the whole being set into a porcelain disc imprinted with directional points, the seasons, the zodiac, and the months; the model's wooden case has an inset compass and is fitted with a brass plate advertising the maker.
17.25 in. high; the case 10 x 10 in.
