System Cane with Marking Pencil

English, having a fluted knob top composed of brass plated sterling silver, with London hallmarks and date mark 1911-12, knob also stamped "Briggs" and monogrammed "MEA." A ring on the knob, when pulled, releases a small pencil of plated sterling also marked "Briggs;" bamboo shaft. A cane of this type likely accompanied its owner to the horse races.
