Circa 1840, mahogany, oak secondary, gray marble top with rounded edge over an ogee drawer over a flame mahogany book matched fall front lid opening to reveal a maple interior with ebony inlay, black leather writing surface with gilt and embossed edge, upper scalloped shelf over drawered cabinet with two secret drawers having a release to drawer interior, over two hinged cabinet doors with three fitted maple drawers over a flush kick-board drawer on short molded feet.

Refinished and restored; old vertical crack to marble with iron supports; some tight veneer shrinkage cracks to front and sides of case.
