Born in Indiana, Thorward studied at the Art Institute of Chicago, the Cleveland School of Art, Grand Central School of Art in New York, the Art Students League in New York, and with Hans Hofmann at the Thurn School of Modern Art in Gloucester, MA.

Good estate condition - not examined out of the frame.
