Serial #44127 (circa 1890), walnut stock, 24 in. octagonal barrel stamped MARLIN FIRE-ARMS CO. NEW HAVEN, CT. U.S.A. / PATENTED OCT. 11, 1887. APRIL 2, 1889 and having 44W on top barrel flat in front of the receiver; MARLIN SAFETY on top of frame.

Working action; original patinated surfaces throughout with old scratches and dings from use; two drill holes each on the undersides of the forestock and butt stock; initials "JB" carved on butt. Good estate condition.
