19th century, circular top with book matched high-grade burl veneers in (20) triangular sections, ebonized columnar standard with veneered upper block, flanked by three carved, gessoed and gilded dolphins, raised on three gilt paw feet.

Light wear to top; later battens; gilt loss and looseness throughout.
