Circa 1890s, single comb ratchet-wound movement with 8.25 in. brass cylinder playing six tunes; the lid's underside with a colorful pictorial playlist affixed with distributor's label for Eugene Jarrard & Co., St. Louis; the wooden box with ebonized interior, marquetry on the lid and painted sides.

In working order at present; the comb lacking two teeth; the case with wear and small scuffs from normal use.
