Late 19th century, black lacquered wood cabinet hand painted with seaside landscape scenes and fans on the sides, the top section has an image of Mt. Fuji, key design around the doors, metal hardware and pulls.

Later base added and adhered to the cabinet at base so it could be mounted to a wall; original base also with cabinet but separate; loss to lacquer and wood especially on edges and around the drawers and cabinet doors; drawers do not close completely.
