Probably late Edo period (1615-1868), a carved wooden giltwood Amida Buddha standing upon an ornately carved double lotus pedestal, wearing traditional robes which draping around his body, a full face with eyes cast downward and gentle smile with his hand raised in welcome, a mandorla carved with a dense cloud design rises behind him to a point, a devotional sculpture that would have been placed in a home shrine.
