German Relief Carved Cradle with Royal Crest

Relief carved "Anno Domini 1910", crest with lion and griffin, reading per aspera ad astra, reverse of crest signed fec't. D. Michaelsen Scharrin, and with applied plaque reading Dem Erbgrossherzog Von Damen Der Ritterschaft, dovetailed case with relief carved panels to each side featuring swag, putti, ribbons and foliage, fluted columns raised on acanthus carved legs with paw feet.
